{chatter} matters

Long ago, when we started the adoption process, long before we even had a home study started - I found this board game on clearance, made by Mattel called Chatter Matters. It's a game for families to play and talk to know each deeper and better. At the beginning of the game you have a card where you choose the prize you want if you win. Choices are like: ice cream with a parent, you pick the movie for the night, extra snuggle time with mom, and many others. You move around the board answering questions about other family members or telling about yourself. Somethings are deep, others are just fun. By playing the game you earn allowance, which is a plastic quarter. Once you earn 15 quarters, you win the game.

So, a few weeks ago, before Thanksgiving, we played. And I won. I got to tell the family what the prize I picked was - which was BREAKFAST IN BED. And it's been weeks and weeks and I thought they had forgotten, so I reminded them the past few days that these next days off would be a great opportunity for them to give me my prize.

So yesterday while at Target, Michael asked me if I wanted sausage or bacon. I choose bacon, because 1, I love it and 2, Michael makes amazing crispy bacon (even thought he doesn't like it).

This morning I awoke to a cute little girl and a handsome papi standing over me with yummy bacon and eggs, along with cinnamon toast prepared by the little one. Yum Yum! First time for breakfast in bed, that I remember.

What a great start!

The next items on the day is to prepare the pickle wraps for tonight and tomorrow, get ready, head to Christmas Eve service at 4 over at the American Orthodox church - then we will do our gift opening, Frogmore, and a long list of Christmas movies (Elf, Four Christmases, and Christmas Story).
