{celebration}

Today on our food calendar was marked in large letters reading CELEBRATION! Today was Melisa's last day of "real" food for a while so we set out to eat whatever she wanted and have some fun. And we did...

Because of the weird hot weather we are having here in Minnesota and the fact our little itty bitty window unit air conditioner doesn't work very well we KNEW we were going somewhere inside - so Mall of America here we come.

Melisa desperately wanted Bubba Gump Shrimp, so we went there. She got, surprise, surprise - shrimp. Michael got the boil pot of shellfish, it looked quite tasty. Normally I get the fried shrimp three ways, but since I am TRYING to eat better, I got New Orleans Shrimp which was boiled shrimp in a spicy gravy with rice. It was REALLY good, I mean REALLY good.

Then we headed to Nickelodeon Universe with all day passes. We rode all but one of the rides that Melisa was tall enough for - lots of fun. Then we headed home for some Papi Casserole and movie watching.

So tomorrow starts a journey of special diets, hospital stays, 3 surgeries, weird sleeping hours, and doctor visits galore. We were told full recovery is about 3 months, not terribly long, but long. Please be in prayer for Melisa, us, our extended family, and the doctors and nurses.
