In this new year I am thankful for God's gift of modern hospitals, doctors, and knowledge. Melisa has been having headaches since mid-December with two episodes of vomiting. These are tell-tell signs of a shunt malfunction for my sweetie. But with some sinus/cold stuff going on we were in a wait and see game. Luckily today with the help of an MRI it was confirmed her ventricles were enlarged. Surgery was performed and Melisa is in her room recovering as I type. Praise God for blessings.
Some have said, "I don't know how you guys do it." We've said that about our friends with two boys who are autistic. But God's blessings and grace are so abundant for each of us. He grants us just what we need as we need it.
Somedays life seems to stink to me, and maybe it does; but life is good! God is good! He does pour out blessings even those that look not quite like a blessing, I.e. an emergency brain surgery for a child - my child!
